Ikonostas

Ikonostas, from the Greek Eikonóstasis (wall of icons),
is a brand driven by innovation in rethinking the role of garments.
Merging lingerie’s sensuality with the structure of prêt-à-porter, Ikonostas creates a playful tension between concealment and revelation, a wardrobe-temple for eroticism, creativity and self-expression.
Desire becomes art.
Ikonostas empowers women to express and connect with their inner worlds through timeless,
sensual designs.
Inspired by historical and modern icons, the brand blends vintage sophistication with a contemporary edge, pushing the boundaries of elegance and femininity.
At the core of each creation is individuality amidst the sensuality of everyday life.
Ikonostas women are real and take centre stage in their own story. They embody self-confidence and a
particular pride that exudes the will to evolve, embracing eroticism and freedom from all pretension.
Versatile and intimate, each piece invites interpretation.
More than a brand Ikonostas is a lifestyle.
PHILOSOPHY
Each Ikonostas creation marks a threshold between outer world and inner self.
Inspired by Pavel Florensky’s notion of the icon, the garment becomes a personal interface, whereby body and soul speak.
Ikonostas conveys a beauty both mystical and sensual, transforming each garment into a revelation, an incarnation of inner identity.
MISSION STATEMENT
Rooted in sustainability, Ikonostas designs transcend trends: crafted with meticulous workmanship, using ethical materials and responsible production to ensure longevity.
Production combines Made-in-Italy craftsmanship with tailoring made in England.
Behind the brand is Daniela Corcio.
Her journey in fashion began as a teenager, after seeing Vivienne Westwood’s Café Society show, an experience that inspired her to study Fashion Design at Polimoda alongside a degree in Philosophy at the University of Florence
Soon after graduation, she began her long collaboration with Vivienne Westwood, first leading sampling and production for the Gold Label, later becoming Product Manager, while also teaching, designing theatre costumes, and creating performances worldwide.
It was in this intersection between fashion and art that the seeds of Ikonostas were planted.
On one side, technical and managerial expertise; on the other, artistic research.
During a performance in Saint Petersbourg, Daniela read Ikonostas, a book by Pavel Florensky,
on the significance of the icon. The name reflects Daniela’s view of each garment as a visible symbol of the inner world.
Her designs merge theatre, prêt-à-porter, and couture, playful yet sacred, sensual yet dramatic.
Daniela’s vision is rooted in contrasts: the Renaissance beauty of Florence and the subcultural energy of London; the intimacy of the body and the universality of art.
