Michelle Lowe-Holder

Michelle Lowe-Holder has been making luxury accessories made from waste streams for over 15 years. Experimenting with recycled materials and hand craft, her signature looks include bold colliers and cuffs that explore layering, pleating or intricate weaving that articulate and form around the body. Her work has been exhibited at V&A Museum, Design Museum London, Natural History Museum of Copenhagen and Design Society Museum in Shenzhen, as well as international galleries and many fashion magazines.
Her accessories were recently featured on British Vogue June cover with Bella Hadid wearing woven cuffs made from knives from the streets of East London and steel offcuts. As part of a collaboration with the “ReGo Project” the idea was to create body wear/armour in the form of rings, cuffs, earrings and colliers out of the recycled knives changing the narrative around materials used in violence to carer and protector.
Dazed Summer Issue 2025 cover also features Michelle Lowe-Holder waste stream jewellery. Athiec Geng wears a neon green hand beaded recycled plastic choker in collaboration with “The Sustainable Sequin Company”.
