Fleet Ilya came into being with the objective establishing a label that explored functional design and informed of the erotic possibilities of leather celebrating the human form, as well as bridging a high fashion aesthetic and subversive fantasy.

Created in early 2000 by husband-and-wife team Ilya Fleet, Ukrainian-born and trained in traditional saddle making, and London-born Resha Sharma, a Central St Martins Graphic Design graduate, Fleet Ilya began as a way of life,

with a shared passion for design, self expression and the potential of leather as a medium.

Ilya Fleet, the son of a sculptor, explored an inherent understanding of the body and three dimensional structure, with Resha Sharma's rigorous pursuit of function and form creating the brands signature visual identity. Together, they fuse tradition with innovation, creating pieces that are both objects of beauty and tools of empowerment.

Over the last two decades that passion has evolved into a universe of its own, culminating in expertly hand crafted, lifestyle objects, ready to wear accessories and functional restraint pieces, received to acclaim. Story telling through the language of accessory design, Fleet Ilya sits at the intersection of art, eroticism and identity, encouraging the wearer to

explore alternatives selves.

Operating from its London-based studio and atelier, Fleet Ilya places material integrity and design excellence at the heart of everything. Using traditional saddle-making techniques alongside progressive experimentation, every piece is bespoke and refined down to the smallest detail — made to fit, personalised in colour, hardware, and finish. Each creation is brought to life in-house by a dedicated team, guided by the founders’ vision and commitment to sustainability. From material sourcing to final polish, exacting standards are maintained with minimal environmental impact through .
