Ikonostas x Light House

From 19/08 until 26/08, Light House resident Ikonostas moves into the Chinoiserie Room for a showcase of her current collections.

Expertly marrying modern dark feminine with vintage glamour, Ikonostas' pieces are as versatile as they are sensual. Her storytelling is a silken noir romance infused with kinky details that can easily be missed by innocent eyes.

Born near Milan and raised in Florence, Daniela Corcio's path to fashion began when she first saw Vivienne Westwood’s Café Society show, a revelation that led her to study Fashion Design at Polimoda alongside a degree in Philosophy at the University of Florence, grounding her work in both craft and critical thought.

While still an intern at Studio Cataldi in Italy, Daniela was invited to London to meet Vivienne Westwood and Andreas Kronthaler. She was entrusted with the development of the Gold Label collections, working in close collaboration with Vivienne and Andreas for many years. Though based in Florence, she traveled regularly to London, balancing her role at Westwood with her own projects in theatre, performance art, and teaching.

It was in this intersection between fashion and art that the seeds of Ikonostas were planted. 

Technical and managerial expertise on one side, artistic research on the other, gave life to new pieces, at first a form of personal expression rather than a brand. 

Today, Ikonostas emerges as a way to subvert fashion rules.  Its name, drawn from Pavel Florensky’s writings on icons, reflects Daniela’s view of each garment as a visible symbol of the inner world. The designs merge lingerie and prêt-à-porter, theatre and couture, playful yet sacred, sensual and dramatic.
