In a career spanning 25 years, Mei-Hui Liu has dedicated herself to the creation and nurture of ‘Victim Fashion Street’, a brand that highlights the importance and versatility of ethically sourced and produced clothing.
Marrying entrepreneurial expertise with her passion for propelling sustainable fashion ideals into high-profile projects, Mei-Hui has served as curator and conceptualist for many pop-ups, arts festivals, and department stores across the globe. Her work has been featured in Xintiandi in Shanghai and Taipei 101 in Taiwan; in London she’s been involved in projects in both Bicester Village and at the Royal Festival Hall.
These multi-media events are a celebratory collage and culmination of Mei-Hui’s career thus far, mixing fashion, art, and music with a vibrant collaborative and improvisational spirit.
Mei-Hui has also worked as a creative consultant and producer alongside Tim Yip (art director, ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’) for the documentary film series ‘Love Infinity’, which chronicles the current East London subcultures and creative scenes. This project has been displayed at the Royal Albert Hall, National Portrait Gallery, and the ASVFF Fashion Film Festival.
The legacy of Mei-Hui and Victim Fashion Street is showcased through the multitude of young artists and performers that she has supported and promoted, from her iconic stall in Spitalfields Market to runways, stores, and stages all around the globe.
